Red face rectocele causeing sciatic pain?

I am a newbie here and want to post a question. Has anyone ever had a large rectocele that caused sciatic pain along with the usual other problems associated with this type of prolapse? I am being treated for sciatica, and nothing is working. I've only told one doctor that I also have a rectocele that causes me pressure as well as evacuation issues, and that my painful sciatica started around the same time as my rectocele appeared a few years ago. I'm making an appointment with a urogynocoligical doctor to have the rectocele repaired, and am hoping that the sciatic type pain will lessen or go away after the repair heals.
Any info on this would be greatly appreciated!

Hi ~ I supposed it COULD be caused by the rectocele, but I doubt it. Sciatica is almost ALWAYS caused by : accidents, herniated discs, spinal stenosis, spondylolisthesis, piriformis syndrome, and tumors in the spine. But for YOUR sake I do hope that the repair of the rectocele cures your sciatica!!!!!

I've had sciatica for 24 years, and believe me if I had something that could cure it, I'd sure jump for joy!! I PRAY it helps you!!! Please let us know, ok? God bless and take care. Peace, Lee
