Default Myasthenia

Hello all,

I am new here and I'm actually here trying to find answers on behalf of my sister. She has a long history with myasthenia. In the past week she has developed a bleed in her buttock and is currently in ICU with subdural hemorrhage following a brain aneurysm. They also found an inactive bleed on her diaphragm. Doctors are telling us so far that all her tests are coming back normal. Has anyone heard of or know anyone that has experienced bleeding with a history of myasthenia? We are desperate at this point for answers.

Thank you!

Hello THodgson: I'm sorry I do not have the answers you seek. However, I saw this is your first post here on NeuroTalk. So I simply wanted to welcome you & wish both your sister, & you, the best.

There is a mG forum on this website.

Bleeding issues aren't common for MG, but can be a side effect of medication she takes for her MG. does she, for example use pain killers like meloxicam (NSAIDS), or prednisone? Maybe other medication can cause this too.

Have he doctors take a close look to all the medication she is heaving or have had in the past.

Wish you the best!
