Hi guys and girls,

I found out like a week ago I have an arachnoid cyst near my cerebellum. The neuro said we have to watch it to make sure it doesn't grow and stuff. I'm confused because he didn't seem too concerned but everything I read online is saying otherwise. Am I at increased risk for anything?? Can this suddenly burst and cause a stroke or something? Everything I read says if you don't have symptoms you don't need to get surgery but I do have symptoms and my neuro still said I probably would never need surgery. I'm really scared anyone have an answer or info???

I don't know much about arachnoid cysts but you could use the search command (top of every NT page) - when I did that it pulled out quite a few posts where other members talked about them.
