I was impressed with the information in the PubMed link.

In it Dr Sansone points out the the evidence about a putative link between cholesterol levels and depression is contradictory.

Sorting out the differences between correlation (which often does not mean much) and causation (which could go in either direction) is never an easy job.

Kiwi, there is SO MUCH info out there from all over the world, but enough DOUBT planted to think about it. I do that's for sure. So many are drugged and so many still suffer with many issues....like memory loss and more and now this depression factor and low cholesterol. I've read a lot of info on the cholesterol fear in the first place anyway.

I'm on another group and read the caregivers forum and it's astounding all the dementia and alzheimers and I can just imagine how all those people have been on statins for so long and now their memory is gone.

My folks lived into 90's and never took any of the drugs, and ate everything and I don't think ever knew about the word cholesterol....take care.
