Default I suffered an eye stroke

Hello all. Sorry its been so long. As you all know I am Alans caregiver. Well last week my left eye became blurry and I made an appt with the eye doctor. She is a very thorough and competent physician. After giving me a thorough exam and checking the pressure in both eyes and dilated my eyes and checked my peripheral vision, and took photos if behind my eyes, etc. She said "Melody you suffered an eye stroke" My vision in my left eye is very blurry. The right eye is fine. She said "You've been diabetic for 31 years.". She aldo said the blood has to be reabsorbed back into my body. My stroke is a Central Retinal Vein Occlusion.

I read up on it and realize I have to really get a handle on my blood sugar. She also said the pressure in my right eye us 27. Normal is 18 to 22 right? I bumped up my Methyl B 12 to 5000. I took that amount 10 years ago for my neuropathy and it helped tremendously. Then I got lazy and gave been taking 1000 for a long time now.

I guess what I'm asking is Am I doomed to never get better vision in my left eye? She said no promises but I might have a shot if the blood gets reabsorbed, my vision might improve but it will take time.

Anything else I can do?? Should I wear a patch? And if so, which eye?

And interestingly, last week I developed a stye in my right eye. I used prescription ointment and its getting better. But this is the same week I got the stroke in the left eye.

If anyone can reassure me on this matter, I could sure use some positive input.

Thanks everyone.
