Default Can anyone give me any advice?

I was always an anxious and depressed person because i had a tough childhood. I am scared most of the time. On the beginning of februrary this year i suffered a knee injury which damaged a small portion of my patella cartilage and tissue inside my knee. My knee was a bit swollen and had shooting pain inside and i could barely walk. The pain was getting worse so i had an MRI of the knee which showed the damage. I was very scared and depressed and i developed panick attacks. I started taking klonopin to calm me, also i was taking indomethacine to decrease inflammation. My knee was getting better but my feet started to burn when i was wearing shoes. Then after a while the burning spread to my calves and my calves started twitching. My psychiatrist changed my klonopin to xanax and i stopped taking indomethacine. I was also taking glucosamine, chondroitin and comfrey (pills and cream) for knee pain. Xanax started to affect my vision and i developed brain fog. The burning has spread to my thighs and i was in constant pain. Then i started having muscle twitches all over my body and burning pain. I stopped xanax and was prescribed Fluvoxamine. I was taking fluvoxamine and i had horrible side effects so i stopped. I got used to the pain and i also took tramadol which somewhat helped. After a while tramadol stopped working too so i stopped all medications and tried natural treatment like b complex vitamins, omega3 and magnesium which didnt do anything. Then came along the allodynia to clothing. My clothing hurts it feels like stinging and like sandpaper on my skin all over my body. My eyes became dry and red and my skin is dry too and discolored. My nails started to change and grow more slowly. The symptoms stayed the same until recently where i got stabbing pains all over my body like cold icepick sensations or knife stabbing sensations. I also feel dizzy while standing.

Hello - looks like you have a lot going on. Have you seen a neurologist? It sounds like you need to see a neurologist. Sounds like some of the pains I have with Fibromyalgia and small fiber neuropathy (SFN). I also have autoimmune issues including Sjogren's and an antibody called TS-HDS associated with the SFN. I'd think a neurologist would rule in/out these and other conditions based on other symptoms you may have (such as thyroid or vitamin deficiencies such as Folate or the B's). I've had the same issue with clothing/sheets hurting. Are you taking Indomethacin for headaches or arthritis? I have to start a new round for Hemicrania Continua headaches. Still trying to determine if it will work as the headaches do go into remission on their own. I'm so sorry for your pain! Best of luck and Be your own advocate!
