Default Fluid Retention Issues, Sodium and Potassium Balance

I just posted info on another member's thread about fluid retention and their mother, and there are probably many dealing with fluid retention (edema)...

Potassium is neglected and I've talked about this in other threads as well. I work to get enough potassium with foods and I do supplement also, as I can't get enough potassium rich foods in my body, and the RDA for adults is 4700mg+ daily and MOST I'd bet don't get near here.

Avocados are a great source, bananas are not as great as we are told, one would have to eat bag of bananas a daily to get near the RDA. There are other foods and best to look up potassium rich foods.

A friend told me years ago if I eat something salty to counter my body with some extra potassium and I do that.

Good to get levels checked with labs. I come in on low end of potassium range when I do testing. So I'm aware and work that issue.
