Default Lazy Bowel Syndrome

I've had constipation issues all my life. And I do so much to keep as regular as I can, just ate a bowel of high fiber beans for my dinner...small bowel, but beans are high fiber. I will drink a whole glass of water now.

This link has a lot of good info except the bananas...I was always given this fruit for diarrhea, so I question this one. I don't eat them...and probably don't' eat enough applies.

20 Natural Laxatives to Help Keep You Regular

Bowel issues are major in our population.

I do take a aloe vera laxative and magnesium citrate and added stool softeners about 2 weeks ago, and one a day doesn't do it.

Thanks for the link Caroline, good information.

Getting older does make the bowl lazy, at least with me. Fruit, fruit and more fruit! Water alone does not help me, but in conjunction with enough fruit it does.

I found that taking a whole 1000mg vitamin C tablet does make things happen, but I would not recommend it.

I believe I have found lately that rough foods like pretzels, nuts and the like and even meats are harder on my system...So I'm avoiding a lot of that stuff. I take 2-3K vit C daily and some days it helps and some days not...just depends too on what other stuff I consume. Drinking a couple glasses of hot water daily is also something I do daily.
