Default withdrawal-emergent dyskinesia help please

Hi all, can't believe it's been over ten years since I have been here lol. I am reaching out because I am desperate. I recently, stupidly quit taking Latuda cold turkey at the very end of July without telling my psych. I was tired of living in a numb, depressed, apathetic, dark cloud. I know better, titrating down did not even cross my mind. Anyway, about 6-8 weeks later I begin noticing a lot of movement of my tongue pressing and rubbing on my teeth. Eventually reaching a point where my tongue is being rubbed almost raw, burns in some areas, and is sore in others. If I concentrate I can keep it still but I find it is worse when I am doing something. Does not happen during sleep which my psych told me was normal. I am to see a neuro on the 17th to see what can be done. I am sure they will write me a prescription for yet something else. Information I am finding is saying that for this type it clears up 90% of the time. What I am interested in is if anyone has had this? Did it go away? How long did it take? Did you have to take medications? Please, anyone.

Hi
So sorry you are going through this.
When a friend was suffering TD they mentioned some supplements that had helped. I don't remember them all, but did find this - Tardive Dyskinesia (Holistic) | PeaceHealth with more details here - Tardive Dyskinesia (Holistic) | PeaceHealth

I know often doctors just give another drug to combat the effects of the first - but sometimes a more natural way can be helpful

Thank you so much. The vitamin E is very doable and I plan to get started right away. I will call my psych and let him know, he is fortunately also an MD. Docs will probably want blood work before I start to see what my levels are.

Lots of great info, again thank you.
