Default Limbo check in 1/23

For about 4 years, I've been doing a limbo check in on Wednesdays for people who are not sure what they have, but know they have something.

We've compared notes on symptoms, doctor visits, talked meds and tests and offered support.

A lot of folks have helped one another along the way and some finally got a diagnosis (dx) or 2, lol.

Care to join me?

My story, short as I can tell you:

I started with migraines and was/am being tested for multiple sclerosis. Have brain lesions, ruled out the mimics.

Was dx'd with C spine injury and syringomyelia (T spine).

I've tried somewhere around 2 dozen meds since '03 - now I'm on topamax nightly, have a couple other RXs I rarely take. (muscle relaxers and supposed to be on lyrica)

I'm 44, 2 grown kids 1 granddaughter and a house full of pets.

I'm a class clown, love Rock n Roll, play guitar (couldn't for months when my spinal injury messed with my hands but it's a bit better now), big Rolling Stones and Johnny Depp fan, and I will never grow up.

Lost my job due to the headaches and fatigue, but I'm trying my hand as a writer.

Got a neuro appt tomorrow (trying to talk myself out of cancelling cuz it's cold outside).

Look forward to meeting you, hearing your stories. If we can't get answers for each other sooner (although sometimes we can help there) at least we are not alone on this island.

Brain!!! I looked for Island check in on the section but alas I have found you! Just went over to another old MB and reported in there. I am sooo glad you started this up here.

Am having an icky day today and my brain is getting things all confused and words dysarthria is rearing its ugly head pretty bad. Legs are tight and is dragging - kind of like pulling it thru mud. Enough about my aches and pains eh, we all have "those days".

Still in the Island with prob MS plus seizures and autonomic disorder. Now if they could only coem up with an answer and a solution as I am getting tired of the game.

Hope to see lots of old Islanders and to get to know new (to me) folks. Did the Cabana boys get a map?

OMG, I was just thinking about you Cathy. I rarely remember it's Wednesday, but for some reason I did today. I was sitting here wondering if anyone told you about this site.

I'm so glad to see you here.

As for me, I'm fine I guess. Kind of blah today.

I still have the pain in my ribcage. Not sure what that is.
My face is numb and my legs tingling. Ears ringing.
lol nothing new.

I hope everyone else finds the check-in.
