Default Vasculitis Urticartia

After six plus years of being told I was a hypochondriac, a rheumy has come up with what I call a 'working hypothesis'. He says it is a rare disease and I am to have a punch biopsy done on an active blister and also it will (I think) be sent for immunofluorescence (?sp) as he is looking for Lupus as well.

Currently I am showing ANA negative..........

The symptoms are innumerable, but the rash/blisters seems to have been the clue which triggered this hypothesis from the Rheumy.

He told me that plaquinil is the treatment - for life ... I am not terribly happy about that and would dearly like to talk with anyone who knows and understands this disease and some possible alternes to life long drugs.

Also if anyone is interested there is a wonderful BLOG with heaps of information........
Found a great BLOG that may be of interest to those with Chronic Hives, vasculitis urticartia etc.... well written, very informative.

With thanks
