Hi ConsiderThis,

I'm sorry I can't help you but wanted to bump you up so that others may see this and be able to help. Good Luck.

You know what, that was very nice of you. I appreciate it.

I haven't been back in a long time, and I hadn't seen the answers. Then answers make me feel a lot better.

Default Consider This

I stumbled on to this while doing a search and I wanted to ask you to post this on the Peripheral Neuropathy forum. It's hard to sort out all of these questions placed into other forums when you only have limited time every day.

Default Mold exposure was doing that to me..

I was really sick for years and peripheral neuropathy was just one of many, many things that were going on. Its improved tremendously. It turned out to be caused by mold exposure in my home.

Its worth looking into. Here's my thoughts on the neuropathy. IF its mold, you need to either get rid of it or get out of there. Don't assume its mold, it could be other things, but the mold could be the cause - at least it was for me. My feet and hands were constantly numb and cold. This went on for years. I still have a huge numb patch on my left leg and my hands and feet have much less feeling than they did before but at least they don't feel noticably numb like they did before. They don't feel like the skin on the surface is dead. Its been a gradual process.

Wear slippers and don't walk on the bare floor. Get fresh air. Even if its cold, fresh air is better than moldy air.

Try keeping windows open and blowing fresh air through your home 24/7 and see if it gets better over time. Do you have any other symptoms like headaches, extreme fatigue, ringing in your ears, muscle aches, etc? Especially after vaccuming, etc. Those are common other symptoms of mold causing your health problems. But the neuropathy is a difficult one to figure out because it doesnt come and go like some of the other symptoms do. Am I making any sense? As I said, this was just my experience, you also need to look at other possible causes. But doctors who should know about this don't. So what can you do? Read..

I found that n-acetylcysteine, alpha-lipoic acid and acetyl-l-carnitine also helped me a lot. I also was told that cholestyramine would help and it did. A lot.

But at the beginning as it pulled the toxins out of my body it felt almost like an exorcism because it makes all of the symptoms worse, but it ended up helping me a lot.
