Lightbulb Extremely important Question?

when things in life happen, and people become ill...
with PD, or MS or Cancer,
& when you run out of money

-who will help a patient who is very ill -too ill for a clinical study,
too ill to actually afford anything proper -

except to be put in a nursing home -
what do we do in the USA for our loved ones?
I am asking this in advance -and I am praying for answers...
for I have not many ideas ...
I still have hope -the big companies -bigpharma -
do not raise money for "Compassion for those that are dying, and very very ill?
stem cells are in the future - everthing has a future date upon it...

but many of the older /younger/ very ill patients are left very poor,

who raises money for the "PATIENTS"?

Arrow only one place that I know will help you with a free flight

here is only one group of Pilots will help you...
ANGEL FLIGHT
Angel Flight was created by a group of pilots who believe in the benefit of volunteering. We strive to keep all aspects of the organization volunteer. We are a non-profit charitable organization of pilots, volunteers, and friends. We will arrange free air transportation for any legitimate, charitable, medically related need. This service is available to individuals, and health care organizations. We will also arrange transportation of those people who are financially distressed, or who are in a time-critical, non-emergency situation due to their medical condition.

Angel Flight primarily serves patients needing transportation to or from the heartland region. As members of the Air Care Alliance, a group of organizations providing similar services throughout the United States. By coordinating with other organizations, Angel Flight can arrange transportation for patients on longer flights to other parts of the country outside of the Heartland region. Angel Flight has also flown blood products for the Oklahoma Blood Institute and Red Cross in emergency situations. Our Patients are usually traveling for surgery, chemotherapy, dialysis, and other treatments. A typical flight may carry patients requiring treatment at M.D. Anderson in Houston or the Shriner Hospital in Galveston, TX.

For children, there are always the Children's Hospitals (Children's Hospital of Seattle, Children's Hospital of San Diego, etc...). At least they are doing something

I watched Celebrity Apprentice the other day and discovered that Joan Rivers' charity is a group that delivers meals to people in New York City.

I could not have survived when I had tetanus if not for the people who deliver meals to the sick and house bound here.

Having food delivered, good, healthy food, and having a smiling face to see once a day is a very big help.

You might see if there is a group that does this kind of work in your area.

You might enjoy the Celebrity Apprentice episode: it was the first one for this season.

This is the charity that was helped when Joan Rivers' team "won" the task:

Thanks for posting that link!

(for some reason my notifications don't work, so I only just found this.)

I'm eager to see what happens tonight. And, wasn't last week ever intense? The Rodman thing was very very serious...
