Default Burning sensation all over body

My friend Emma 37, is at her wits end, some days she can walk other days she has to stay in bed. She has been experiencing a fire all over her body and pain that she cannot even move. She just wants to stay under the shower whenever this happens.

The neurologists' treatment didn't work some nights she cannot even sleep on her back or belly but in a crouched position. She thinks she is losing her mind.

What is this ?

How can Emma be helped ? Please someone give us a clue, her sons are so scared for her. thanks

hello
you may want to look into the possibility of this being RSD / CRPS

here is that forum

I can understand being frightened about this symptom.
Your post here does not contain enough information to direct you to a forum that may be able to help.

How long has this been going on?
What treatment from the neurologist...what drugs?
What diagnosis did the doctor offer so far?
What tests has she had?
Was this following an illness?
Is it sun activated?
Is a rash or redness present?
Is it 24/7 or comes and goes?
What is Emma's health history-- other things she has had or has?
What is her diet like? Lots of processed foods?

This could be many things including the one Chemar has offered.
I'll check this thread for a while to see if you return here.

Hi don't know if you will read this as i see this is from 2 years ago.
But I also have burning from the tops of my legs right around my stomach up my back to my head. I was like that.My doc said it was my nerve endings and gave me pregabalin but i thought it was the menopause but she said no but took hrt and it seemed to ease it. She took me off it three weeks ago and it all seems to have come back.It never went all together so gone back on hrt to see if it goes down again if not going to give pregabalin ago again.hope your feeling better now
