Default Meeting people.

Hi everyone. For a long time now I've led a protected life, because of social anxiety. It prevented me

from getting out there and enjoying myself like other people. I've never been out and had fun because of this. All

through my uni years I just sat in my room, and now I regret it, despite the fact that at that time there was

nothing I could have done differently.

Now things are different and the anxiety is gone, but the life situation remains. I live with a few flatmates I

don't share interests with and who don't encourage me to go out, which is what I need. I have no real friends and

don't seem to be able to do anything about it. Where do you begin when there appear to be no starting points to work

from?

I just feel so alone. I had one interest group which was Aikido. I used to go to it but had to quit because of health problems. I could go back to that. I have other interests such as art, web design, dance music, computing, but these are hard to find any interest groups for. What do I do?
