Default feeling petty :(

I had an MRI and it is showing early signs of demyelination - suspect Multiple sclerosis.
I am kicking my self for picking up the MRI Report and not allowing my self to live in ignorance until my follow up. lol.
It feels like the next 5 days are taking years. Which I know they are not. I am doing better than I did yesterday and the day before that. I feel like I am going to do all this research and make a questions list and get to my apt and they are going to say I am wrong and I am fine. THen really look at me like I am crazy. Which just sounds like denial failing to set up but it would be nice. I probably know more about MS than the dr. at this point. Information is nice and I wanted to know about the testing that I will or might be doing soon.
But I have anxiety so as much as I would love to just be objective like my information seeking side is, the emotional side is freaking out alittle lol.
So to get through the next five days should be fun. :/

So I am finding my self stalking these health threads wanting to speak out about my nervousness and expel some of this energy and talk with people that might be feeling anxious or try to reel my self back into calm-er- ness something.... XD

Default Good Morning summer :)

Just wanted to say I know exactly how you feel.....can you get in quicker to see your dr ?

About 3 weeks after my 'normal' hysterectomy the dr's nurse called me while I was on my way back from a neighboring town with my son and daughter-in-law. The nurse said the dr needed to talk to me about options.....REALLY ? What options ? For what ? She would not tell me. She wanted to schedule the appointment for the next week and I told her I would like to see the dr tomorrow.....she got me in the next day. I started crying as soon as I hung up the phone because I knew something was very wrong. Of course the kids tried to say it was probably nothing but heck...I was 50 years old and I knew better !

I took my husband with me to the appointment and the dr said "I've been reading up on this for a couple days before I called you in". At that point my stomach was in my throat. My path report showed I can Serous Uterine cancer. It was small but it is very aggressive and rare. I don't do anything half way Because it had not broken through the uterine wall they felt that I would just need adjunct chemotherapy. To get to the end of the story, I had 6 chemo treatments (taxol/carbo) and am now being monitored every 3 months for 2 years. I had my last chemo in March 2013 and everything is clear so far.

Didn't mean to be so long winded but thought my story might help you in some way.

If you can, try and get involved in something to take your mind off the report. Go outside and work in the yard, read a book....if you've got children or children around talk and play with them. My grandkids can get my mind off anything. They are so funny to watch and listen to.

I pray everything is ok when you see your dr and that you have worried for nothing. If there is something to it we will all be here for you when you need us.

You will be in my thoughts summer 2 hugs for you !

Thank you! I don't think I can move it up since it is so "close" I am blaming the weekend. Non business days make it longer haha.
Yesterday was great because I watched my friends son the whole day so I had three kiddos 4, 3, and 18 months to keep me busy instead of just my two.
I have read that this is one of those things that takes time to diagnose too. The only thing that really diagnoses it is the progression of changes in the brain and spinal cord.
There are physical tests, spinal tap, reflexes, some times electrical tests, etc... that help. I am going to make sure that what ever neuro I end up with know I mean business XD
