my daughter has had borderline personality disorder for a long time now and I am finding it is getting harder to deal with she is a self harmer tonight she is in theatre as she stabbed herself in the abdomen again I am finding this is getting harder and harder she keeps saying that she wants to die and be with her father as he died only 12 weeks ago she is 31 years old they told me she should grow out of it but that hasn't happened I am at my wits end I am also trying to deal with the death of my husband that I was with for the last 44 years I am not sure how to handle her this time most of the times l don't say very much at all when she does these sort of things but this time I feel I need to go off at her I am asking for some advise here as I am lost at the moment.

Dianne, I am sorry to hear about your daughter.

This local site might help both you and her About BPD - Borderline Personality Disorder Australia.
