Well that didn't last long! Mean guy was back literally screaming at me red faced ans sweaty b/c I took a message instead of interrupting the call he was on. Normally I'd go through his assistant who knows who is important and who is not and who he's waiting for (which by the way he could have told me he was waiting for a call to begin with). But his assistant is away. Mind you, I sent the message immediately back to him so it's not like he couldn't just pick up the phone and call back right away. So NOT the end of the world. Yet there he is screaming at me that I am not treating him like a Partner- when in fact ... I WAS treating him like a Partner. None of the other Partners want to be interrupted when they're on the phone and their assistants are out unless they specifically TELL me they are waiting for someone. Everyone else gets busted in on unless they specifically ask me NOT to for some reason. Thankfully one of the other Partners walked in while it was happening and saved me. Yay for reasonable people. I'm still cranky about it though. Especially b/c I only got 4 hours sleep due to heart-attack like pains in my chest from gas. I am tired and my ears and throat hurt and the last thing I want to deal with is an unreasonable jerk who I can't even tell he's an unreasonable jerk b/c I need the health insurance here.
