I got one that asked me to visit the site as they're getting back up and running.

I went but it's not back up and running. However the old message is gone.

Does DocJohn want us to go back or can we stay here? Seems more secure here, somehow... but I'm not sure. I don't really know very much about computers.

Hopefully they were able to save our old files.

Doc John plans to keep this site open whether OBT comes back up or not because many people have expressed a desire for him to do so~ so we will have a choice.

I never got an email from OBT....which leaves me wondering. It seems some have and some haven't. It might have to do with how we checked our boxes in our options. I have no idea how mine was checked.

I didn't. I just went over there... different screen. Looks like it is up but unconfigured.

I haven't gotten a notice. when I tried the link this morning, it said that address was not valid. Is there a new url?

I didn't get an email either. But, not long before old BrainTalk went down, we had a nut over on Child Neuro who was emailing Moms of CP girls asking for pictures of their kids in braces with bare feet. Ewwww. Needless to say, pictures were removed and a lot of us disabled the "allow email from another member" option on our profile, me included. So, maybe that's why I didn't get a notice?

Geesh, people are so weird!! I remember when I was pregnant with the triplets (for those who don't know, Colin is our only survivor and they were born 16 weeks early), there was some nut who wanted pics of the bellies of moms pregnant with triplets.

Go figure!

I did not get an email but I have no idea if I checked the box about allowing emails from BT admin. Possible that my spam filter got it too.

What may make the big difference is if all the old threads come back intact. I hope everything is still there too.

and it appeared to be a generic mass message.( I did check "receive admin announcements).

The Mac OS page that appears today... I just checked it again (I haven't been home most of the day)... is the same one that appeared when the
new server was installed. Only then Apr 05...it didn't last this long.

So I assume that some data restoration is still in progress.

I will continue here, and back there I think...information is information, and
I have so many Google strings that link to OBT...that leaving there seems
unproductive.

I am liking this forum more and more.. so I will do both.. maybe not every
day, but as often as I can!
