Hi. I will have IGg/IGa Gliadin Antibodies and Tissue Transglutaminase Antibodies, is/are there any special preparation/s before the test?
Will appreciate feedback. Thank you. Mary |

I need clarifications on the preparation for the test because when I asked my neurologist about the preperation - he said nothing. Its like thyroid test that I could come in anytime of the day with no preparation. But, when I read the Gluten File, preparation should include eating gluten for weeks prior to the test. Or does this preperation refer to only the biopsy and not to the bloodwork?
I would appreciate clarification on this..... Thank you. |

All I know is that you have to be eating Gluten normally like you would be every day.
I don't think fasting is necessary. You could call the lab to make sure. It sure is not confidence inspiring, when Doctors don't know the answers to questions like this!

The lab doesn't give out instruction. They would refer you to your requesting doctor. This happened to me 3x already. Thank you so much. |
