Default So, rice has high levels of arsenic??

What do you guys think of this new study?

I am bummed, rice and rice products are pretty much a daily staple when you can't have gluten/wheat. I have so many other food allergies, I am at a loss of what to do...

I have coeliac disease and cannot tolerate rice. An indian man explained that if you clean the rice thoroughly of all the starch before cooking it makes a difference.

I would limit the amount of rice. I still have a concern even if I can find an organic source because of the natural affinity of rice to absorb arsenic.

I cant post links but you can search the following sites
theworld.org search sri-lanka-kidney-chemicals
npr.org search fda-weighs-federal-standard-to-limit-exposure-to-arsenic-in-rice

There are issues with soy also.

What about legumes and beans? Can you tolerate?

There is also a mycoprotein called Quorn that you may want to check out.

Looks like we are starting to pay the price for the pollution we are causing. It makes me sad.

Thanks for the info raj, I will look into it. Certain legumes and beans are tolerable in small amounts.

It makes me sad too
