Frown Allergy/sensitivity testing

Hi I'm new to the celiac site but not to neurotalk. I have rsd and have recently developed food sensitivity/allergies. Along with this I'm having bouta where my toes are going numb, along with my hands. My gi dr. Says he thinks it is ibs with some rsd. My pain dr. Says it's not rsd.
I see the dr. Who does the testing the end of the month, but I am eating pretty much protein some minimal fruit, green beens , salad, and I found some soy ice cream for snack. Rice really bothers me. Corn and potato give me a headache and stomach ache. )not as bad as rice thiugh)
So if I am off everything what is left to test? I just can't imagine creating pain to prove a point.

Hi Alt1268

My GI tested me for celiac and gluten after I had been gluten-free for two months and the testing came out negative. My Rheumy AND endo had ordered me on GF diet two months prior, due to way too much inflammation.

I was advised by my allergist that the test for celiac and gluten intolerance requires the person to be on a gluten diet for several weeks before testing for an accurate result. I just had followup with my gastro (testing was 3 months ago) and for first time I have no tenderness and no distention in tummy on down. So at this point she has put on record gluten intolerance.

My position was similar to yours, I saw no point in making myself miserable eating foods that clearly were causing problems when avoiding gluten and further going to fresh organic and removing as much processed food from my diet resulted in improvement.

My GI and allergist agreed.
