I posted over on BT a new thread, but here's the basics --
days shy of 4 wks on gluten went to FP doc for his regular check up since 5/9 to 6/20 my almost 5mo old has not gained any weight and had a height increase of 1/2 inch (possibly, those lay down charts are not all that accurate with a squirmy baby). My gluten eating started May 25th. So he had many days in May of GF breastmilk, in retrospect he is probably loosing weight. The FP doc was a bit alarmed and has me coming back in 1 month for a reweigh in, so I'll know before my appt w Dr. Fasano exactly what his weight has done. Funny, Dr. F's office sent my FP doc a note stating ds3 did not have celiac symptoms I don't even need to dwell on that one, no one, not even the "experts" want to dx Celiacs. |

The problem is that they are going by medically defined standards. The current definition for Celiac is damaged villi. If I remember correctly Fasano is a "traditionalist". I don't know if he views Non Celiac Gluten Sensitivity as valid. If you were to see the likes of Dr. Fine, Dr. Scot Lewey, Dr. Rodney Ford - they might give you the dx you're searching for.
