How long does it take for biopsy results to come back and does Celiac Disease cause stomach damage too?

I think it takes about a week for the biopsy results to come back... it could possibly be sooner, but I don't think it should take any longer than that.
Yes, gluten sensitivity is associated with stomach damage.. particularly lymphocytic gastritis. Lymphocytic gastritis is also associated with h. pylori infections. http://jccglutenfree.googlepages.com...tritis&colitis My daughter showed lymphocytic gastritis in her stomach sample and the stain for h. pylori was negative. So, although she didn't have biopsy proof of celiac disease (no intestinal damage), I have little doubt gluten sensitivity is indeed the cause of her lymphocytic gastritis.
