You should have a toaster that is dedicated to gluten free bread. My whole house is gluten free, so I just bought a new toaster and we don't need to worry about it. If you have both gluten free and gluten eating people at home, you'll need two toasters ( one new one that hasn't seen gluten) and a way to eliminate the oops factor in using the wrong the one.
