I'd say this one, as its been going for about a month, and original BT has been up just a day. People seem to like it here.

I stumbled upon this site because I was frantically googling BrainTalk looking for where people might be, and I came across a blog by Dr. John Grohol asking about what happened to BrainTalk. Because there were so many lost souls, he put this up in short order to fill the gap. I contacted those who I had in my email addy at home, but otherwise...????

Sorry you have been out of the loop .

So, now we have two completely different sites. THe old BrainTalk and this one, under completely different management, even though they look the same and their names are pretty much the same. This one will be changing its name soon, now that original BT is back up. They left it as such so people might find their way there.

SO, where to go now? I think that is a million dollar question. I think many people are happy here. And others feel strong ties to the original BT. Just don't ask me what I'm doing . I will pop back and forth, sort of waiting to see if our data comes back, and don't want to abandon anyone who likes Original BrainTalk for its other forums, friends, etc., and I'd like to be there for any new people who wander in. I have some good memories there over six years, so separation doesn't come easily.

I think we should put something out on Original Braintalk to let people know that the rest of the bunch is over here, but I don't want to be glaring about it...since they are not the same management.

Glad you found us... While many have trickled over here by word of mouth, we are still missing others.

Cara

Electra, I thought of you! I was pretty sure I'd "seen" you around Mothering, but I couldn't find you when I looked 2 or 3 weeks ago. Glad you made it here!

Hi! Welcome -- I missed you!

I think nobody was told about this new forum because the folks who set up the new forum had no idea how to reach everybody from the old one.

Well Hi back all --
And I'm glad I came across reading about this new site. I missed, really missed checking out what was new in Gluten Free land!
News here... We're having our 4th child in January 07!!! I spent most of the summer sick and just started feeling better about 4 weeks ago. with a relaps last weekend all "morning sickness" all day kind of deal kicking in at or after lunch sending me to bed for the rest of the day.
Our friends really went above and beyond this summer bring me meals while I was sick and even going out of their way to fix something GF!
Preschool is so awesome about the GF needs of my ds2, so is church.
My parents do a fine job with it as well.
So all is well, I just need to start getting my energy back to make some GF bread for my ds2 -- I haven't made any for MONTHS! And the store bought stuff he does not really like.
