Default Desparate Newbie-Please help me find xanthan gum substitute or new recipe

Ok, I had plans to do a small party for Jack Jack tomorrow.

I was going to use a gluten free caesin free cake mix I have.

Well, its gone, as in, tore the house apart, and havn't even packed the pantry yet, WHERE THE HECK IS IT! Dh says I already used it.

I have a recipe and I have everything BUT xanthan gum. Anyone know of a substitute?

OR does anyone have Wheat Free, Milk Free Cake Recipe?

I am DESPARATE!

(NO WHERE SELLS GFCF EXCEPT PUBLIX 1.5 HOURS AWAY SO IT HAS TO BE A RECIPE)

Lightbulb FDA needs to test every batch of Xanthan Gum that comes from China!

Xanthan Gum is currently untested and people are starting to become allergic to it as it is becoming more prevalent in our baked goods!

Most Xanthan Gum comes to the USA from China untested for melamines and heavy metals!

China has a poor health record on all consumables exported to other countries and the USA.

Someone needs to put their foot down and have the FDA test results of every batch of Xanthan Gum on the side of every consumer package. We have a right to know what heavy metals and if melamine are present!!

It's a disgrace and slap on the face to every consumer in the USA that Xanthan Gum goes untested!
