I have a recent new one that I just really want to share with everyone!
It's like a Magic Bullet (but we couldn't afford one of those) and it was on sale at Canadian Tire for $35 so we picked it up. It's wonderful!! Much more useful than the big $60 blender that I had. Ds has already made himself a glass of homemade juice in it and dh just whipped himself up some salsa in about 5 minutes. That little cup that you throw your food into and then invert onto the blades is so easy to clean out!! I chopped up some chicken liver in about 30 seconds and added it to our spaghetti meat sauce the other day (trying to add more vit. A to our diets). It was so fast, the children never saw a thing!

I "bought the Bullet" off Amazon for pretty cheap (I get survey "reward" points that I cash in for certificates there, adding to the savings...I highly reccomend it if anyone gets the chance...the first year is boring but then they send you fun surveys and you start earning gift cards now and again)
I love it Dds get lots of smoothies (frozen bananas with juice or rice milk, and various fruits) Dh loves the floofy omellettes it makes. My blender has stayed hidden for several months now. |

Cara will be interested in this thread - she was asking about the Bullet on the old BT. It looks soooo good on the infomercials.

I am! I still see The Bullet from time to time, and wonder about it!!
Kim, does your Bullet-like gadget have a brand name? I am so happy to hear of someone who actually has The Bullet. Now, I might splurge, or ask for it for Christmas...getting to be that time now, isn't it....lol. I'm sure the Christmas decorations will be coming out any day. Cara

I had to go look.
It's called "Party Blender". It's white and grey but has everything that the Bullet has including the juicing insert and the cups with screw on tops (of course we don't use them because of my issue with plastic). That's my only gripe. I wish the containers were glass. But we don't store food in ours. I really like the different sizes of cups though. Even though I blend a lot of stuff, we use the small cup the most, the big cup second-most and the blender pitcher the least. We haven't used the mugs at all though. It is nicer to clean out a cup rather than a great big blender pitcher every time.

Cara...check Amazon and ebay, there are "brand new, never used" ones available for relatively cheap. Mine came from a warehouse, the box had been damaged but the unit was fine and unused. (I double checked when I saw the box) I'm big on getting the best deal, LOL. I've also seen them at bed bath and beyiond, which sends out coupons if you get on their mailing list, and gift cards from certain credit cards. |

I myself just recently purchased a Party Blender from Canadian Tire and I used it once and the motor part started sparking and smoking...I unplugged immediatelyu and have cleaned the parts I used and then packaged it back up to take back to Canadian Tire.
My question to you is, how long have you had your blender and how much have you used it? I am just wondering if the one I got was just a malfunctioning one. I am going to bring it back and trade for another one and hope it works.

Our first one sparked and died... so we exchanged it. This second one seems to be okay... so far... knock on wood.
If it blows... I guess I'll have to fork out the money for the 'real thing'.

RATS!! Thanks for letting me know. If my second one goes, I'm thinking it's not just a fluke.
Did you have your box still, when you returned it?
