Thanks for checking into this. I can't drink wine because of the yeast issue but I would hate for everyone else to have to worry about gluten in wine.

Hi, It has been a while since this post went up but as a newly diagnosed celiac I have had problems with grapes and grape juices going through me!! The fructose side of grapes should not be a problem but I had wondered if the problem with grapes was the same as with strawberrys - they are stored in straw! My initial investigations show that grapes cannot be washed before they get to you, therefore are contaminated by cross contact in storage. That may be why grapes are not "safe". Anyone know any better?
