![]() I'm sure you've seen all this... http://www.health911.com/remedies/rem_gout.htm http://www.henriettesherbal.com/arch...95/gout-1.html Colchosine does have some interesting side effects [ie dashes to the bathroom]. I hear ya on the crawling - been there, done that many times!! LOL. I'd almost resolved myself to using crutches once. I would usually get my attacks in the summer, usually at a critical point of volleyball season [our favorite tournament ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Take care - hope it passes quickly!! Oh - never, never, never put ice on it. It only makes it worse - trust me. You want heat - moist heat.

Congratulations to all those with anniversaries and impending marriages.
I wish the best to everyone with health issues and remodeling probs and anything/everything else. ![]() These last couple months have been long and stressful. I've been in and out of town helping out my ex-husband who had bypass surgery with mitral valve repair in August and went downhill from there. In and out of hospitals - 5 different hospitals, one of them twice. Complications of the surgery, the bad heart, and reactions to meds (he was on 15 different meds after the first surgery! ![]() ![]() On top of all that, my car started giving out on me, and my hours have been cut back at work. But, I now have another car. Parts of the body are held together with duct tape ![]() ![]() ![]() So, now maybe I will have time to get some of my research and recipes posted here. I'm working on a cracker recipe - I want to make it one more time before I post it. ![]() |

I'm here. Congratulations Al & Peg on your anniversary our 6th is tomorrow.
Busy, busy here don't even have time to check this site but about once a week. Not doing too good at sticking with gluten free. I don't ever have symptoms when I eat something I shouldn't I just wake up extremely anemic one day, so I seem to get in these slumps. I'm trying to get back to the gluten free life again though. Have a great month everyone!

Wow, a heart transplant. That's a tough act to follow. Hope your ex-DH is doing well.
Anyhoo, I continue to get better with the Chinese herbs I'm taking to treat the bacterial dysbiosis. Everything seems to be, aahem, solid. However, I think this gives me an excuse to eat a box of Pamela's double chocolate cookies at one sitting. I got very ill after doing this. I also got ill after eating some GF, dairy-free cookies after a CSA support group meeting. I don't know what it is, but I'm suspecting the GF flours and/or sugar. If anyone knows how to make your own flour, please let me know. I don't tend to do well with any kind of processed GF baked goods mix, except for Pamela's chocolate cake mix ![]() Other than that, I've been getting back into rock climbing after having hardly doing any over the summer. I just didn't have the energy. Apparently, I was eating for 5 billion, LOL! I also started a car pool at work, so that means I won't be checking the boards as much as I used to. Claire

Wow, myst! You have had a handful. I wish your ex-husband the best luck! I've only known one person who had a heart transplant and he did very well.

Thank you for all your good wishes. They mean a lot.
![]() I've never known anyone that had any kind of transplant. Lots and lots to learn. I just talked to my ex. He's still doing really well, and is VERY anxious to get out of the hospital. He's determined to be out by Nov. 13. If stubborness and determination are anything to go by, he'll make it. ![]() |

I am here. Been on B12 shots now 4 weeks or so and not seeing much improvement. I have good days but overall I am just tired. My girls are sick (I may be too which may explain still being tired). I love Thanksgiving usually. I love relatives but the thought of trying to get through it with no gluten with my current energy level is daunting.

Hang in there with the B12. I was lucky to have caught my deficiency on the early end, so I did notice improvements within the first three weeks. I've heard of others where it took much longer, like with rose, and it was a slow process. Be sure to get your rest and take the supportive supplements, etc. I had a hit by a truck fatigue that lasted a few months, and that didn't start until after I started taking B12. Your body has a lot of repairing to do. Think healing thoughts and pamper yourself whenever you can.
A good day should be celebrated, but except the slumps in between. Eventually there will be more and more good days. But, you know, there may be many things you are dealing with so while you are being patient with healing, also keep your ears open to anything else that might be helpful. Actually, Thanksgiving is done pretty easily GF. Will you be doing the cooking or are you going somewhere? I wonder if we have started a Thanksgiving thread yet. If not...I will get one going. Cara
