It might be linked to low levels of Vit. D.
Very interesting article: http://news.independent.co.uk/uk/hea...cle1525348.ece |

Very cool, and one aspect that was glazed over a bit was the following. That vitamin D is part of what helps you absorb Calicium. And why is calcium so important and we have a large storage system of it in our bones. And it's not just important for bone density. Without calcium the signaling done could not happen.
In fact one thing mentioned elsewhere is that calcium is important in leaky gut. Without enough calcium the tg do not close and we have leaky gut. Calcium is so important that the body does a great job in making sure we have enough moving through the body, but when it does not absorb enough it gets it from the bones. One other interesting thing is look at maps showing IBD (Inflamitory Bowel Disease) a large proportion of folks live in areas with less sun. http://www.vetsci.psu.edu/personnel/...rna.cfm?page=3 Even not considering Calcium. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/q..._uids=16563470 |

The Vitamin D Council puts out a newsletter. The one this summer talked about vitamin D releasing natural antibiotics called antimicrobial peptides. This article takes us back to the 1940's when ultraviolet radiation of the blood was used to treat infections. Dr. Cannell feels that this irridation caused the blood to make large amounts of vitamin D. I recommend reading the complete newsletter. Reading about the blood irridation was most interesting. There is also a place to subscribe to the newsletter.
http://www.vitamindcouncil.com/newsl...une-july.shtml I urge everyone to get a 25(OH)D. Currently Dr. Cannell says our vitamin D level should be between 35ng/ml-65ng/ml. If you cannot get a vitamin D check he recommends vitamin D3 1000 IU a day if you get some sun and 2000 IU if you get no sun. http://www.vitamindcouncil.com/treatment.shtml I finally got mine up to 42ng/ml - up from 24 Anne |

Looks like you can order directly from this place as long as there is a local lab that will draw for them. http://www.directlabs.com/index.php
