Default New Great Gluten/Casein Free Rice Cream

http://www.goodkarmafoods.com/

Mudd Pie, Carrot Cake, Peanut Butter Fudge, Mint Chocolate Chip, Vanilla.....by the pint, and chocolate and strawberry sundae cups perfect to send with the kids for birthday parties and school ice cream parties.

This stuff is good....does not taste like a substitute product!

Now...if they could come up with a good casein/gluten free cheese (soy free/corn free, too)!

Cool! I'll ask my store to carry it. Currently Colin's enjoying coconut ice cream:

I don't care for it because you can taste the coconut! He loves it.

I like the homemade cashew and maple syrup ice cream I've been making. My most recent has bits of chocolate cake, nuts, and swirls of dairy free caramel and hot fudge in it. YUM! The book I use for recipes is Vice Cream.

The only place I have seen it near us is at a Woodman's, so if by chance you have any Woodman's.. but I think they are only in WI and IL.

But...yes...I would ask your local store to carry it. I think it is far superior than the "other" rice ice cream.

I wonder if the Whole Foods and Trader Joe places carry it.

Neither ice cream is available in Arkansas

Of the two I would be more likely to buy the coconut one. There are just too many ingredients in the karma one. I don't like to eat anything with more than 7 ingredients

I'll have to look for it at Appleton! Thanks!

Default recall

I just saw in the paper that they have recalled some of the varieties due to an "undeclared milk protein".

I don't know if it was this brand or not, but I saw a rice based ice cream at Trader Joe's and started reading the ingredient list... it was tiny tiny print that took up the entire side of the carton. I decided not to buy it based on that alone.

I need to start making my own coconut milk based ice creams. At least I'll know what is in it without the eye strain!

Hi AllisonJ.
Did you ever hear what the "undeclared milk protein was?"
Would be very interested.
Thanks.
Rosco.
