Default Christmas Dinner Menus

I thought I'd get this thread going now because I really don't know what I am going to cook this year for Christmas. A traditional Christmas dinner in my house is usually either homemade lasagna or ravioli! That's the way it always was when I grew up, being from an Italian family, and that's what I like to cook now. But I haven't ever tried making gluten free homemade pasta. This is a big dilemma for me, though my husband and his family don't care what I cook because they are Jewish and wouldn't probably celebrate Christmas anyways if it wasn't for me! So please, tell me what you are cooking for Christmas, and maybe I'll get some ideas. Doing another turkey seems so boring. My SIL suggested pork chops since I told her I cook a mean pork chop, but I can't really picture Christmas pork chops .

I've also never really figured out what to make for Christmas dessert. Usually we are all so stuffed from the lasagna or ravioli to even think about dessert! My Mom used to make trifle, but I never found it that interesting.

Thanks, Claire
