Default Recipes

Maybe someone would like to create a googlepages Gluten Free Recipe File???

It is really easy to get up and running, and I think it would be a perfect and really usable format. The first page could hold the index like a recipe book does and then link to the rest of the pages? You can upload pictures and everything.

We could also have a page that links to other recipe sites, like Karina's recipes from her blog, recipes from a [gluten free] goddess , and other sites I have listed on the Favorite Links page of TGF, a page for tips, etc, etc, etc. You get 100 pages, and 100MG (a LOT of space if it is mostly text)

I never saved the original recipe thread, but I bet someone somewhere has (Al?).

I still think it might be best if we all started over by contributing our OWN personal favorites, or at least make sure it is ok with the original contributor. For example, I know Karina prefers we not copy her recipes because the are original creations and she publishes cookbooks (but now of course we can just link to her blog! yippee!).

Any volunteers?

First you have to create a gmail account to request a googlepages account. Be aware that whatever name you have for your gmail username will become the googlepages name, such as username.googlepages.com . Far as I know you can't change it. I wish I had registered with a username of theglutenfile!

Think about it, and those of you who might be up for this task... let us know!

If no one's taken this on in 2-3 months, I probably can. I just can't do it right now as I'm way behind on so many things.

I think it's a great idea.

I can bring up the old recipe page http://64.233.161.104/search?q=cache...n&ct=clnk&cd=1 but I cannot figure out how to look at the actual recipes.

Hey Al, you are the super googler - is there a way to get into the links and retrieve the recipes?

Anne

Hi Anne,

When I click the link - I don't get anything related to BT's recipes. I wonder if it's coming from your machine. I suspect only that page is cached on your machine - thus only allowing you to see that page - not the others that are linked to it. You'd probably have to google each specific recipe in hopes of recovering them.

Try this link http://64.233.161.104/search?q=cache...n&ct=clnk&cd=1

If it does not work, google "our recipes + braintalk" and it should bring up the thread as the first hit.

If you google braintalk and the actual recipe name or the topic of the type of recipe and braintalk you'll get it, at least part of the time. This will be very painstaking to do. I think it would be best to be done quickly, too, as I don't know when it will stop being cached by google.

How would we all contribute to it if it's on a separate webpage?

Sorry I don't have a lot of recipes. There were some issues with them, so I didn't back them up.

BUT, I DO have some!!! Here's what I have...

Brunch & Breakfast Ideas Pages 1 thru 5
Fave Bread & Muffin & Crust Recipes Pages 1 thru 11
Kim's Links to Existing Recipe Thread (this was before Karri Ann reworked the index).

Not sure. It's a little late now, though!
