Frown CSF headache

Help!!!!!

I have been diagnosed as having spontaneous CSF leak which is causing headaches when I stand or sit. Went to Cleveland Clinic where they did all kinds of tests and 2 blood patches. I have had drug infusion therapy. They agree I have a leak but can't find it. They have pretty much given up and suggested pain management classes. Has anyone out there had the leak heal itself after time. Does anyone know of any other treatments. A local neurologist said I could try the Mayo clinic but I don't know if they could do anything that hasn't already been done. Has anyone else had the doctors give up but found a solution somewhere else?

Unhappy Ouuuuch !

Hi blaba,
I am SO sorry you are dealing with this!
I hope the Headache forum can be of help......
Also, here is a sub-forum specific to CSF Leaks, click here:
http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/forum78.html

So, did you have some sort of spinal surgery that sparked this leak?

I have heard how terrible these headaches can be and the only thing I remember was that laying flat and drinking caffeinated beverages help
I hope you get good input and sorry I can't be of more help other than to
hug you

Things will look up
Caring
Rae
