Exclamation HELP ! Constant stabbing pain right side of head

Ok so this has been going on for over a year , started of with bad headaches and pains in sinus and dizziness ect...
I've been back and forth to the doctors weekly an been very persistant they seem to think I'm panicking but yeah. Around christmas last year i was working alot an was tired i kept getting pressure an pain at the back of my neck into my head like a bruising dull ache ....After a while pain got worse an kept getting a stabbing pain right side of head above temple ,pain sometimes radiates into cheek aswell. I thought it may had been wisdom tooth but had this removed last week an still the same , Dr referred me for physio therapy thinking it was trapped nerve ...when doing exercises neck hurt but didn't improve so I left.i complained of my right eye being very slightly blurry suddenly so got reffered for MRI scan an results normal got diagnosed as a tension headache which I don't belive.
Pain is sudden comes and goes get dizzy , lightheaded having to take time off as ita making me really panicky.
Also scalp right side twitches as well as eye , very tender pain disappeared for a week my friend hugged me we bumped heads now pain is back again .... Help much appreciated

What does your neurologist have got to say about all this? Because, quite frankly I pester mine for absolutely everything. In fact, the very same week I got started for physical therapy back then he booked me for consultation to check up with me, and at the end of physical therapy as well. I only had to go like two in this time frame due to severe headaches that were produced by stress triggers at work. Regardless of whether I felt it worked or not, the most important part is that the patient can be free from pain.

BTW, How long were you in physical therapy for? it doesn't sound right that you mention neck hurt while doing the exercises, maybe there's more to that. Did your doctor only tell you to do MRI? no XRays?

I really hope you'll feel better soon

Default Headaches....

From your post, looks like you had c-spine MRI. Are all your discs OK?

Sounds like headaches pain from neck issue

I'm curious about why you disregarded the diagnosis of tension headache.
I had these for many years, but you don't need to feel tense to experience them.

The tension refers to muscle status. So tense muscles pull on the vertebra and joints, putting them under stress and strain. This can then lead to nerve impingement and sharp pains.

My tension headaches were caused by very tight neck and back muscles that were pulling down on my neck. Awful, awful headaches.

My (eventual) diagnosis was from a pain doctor. He suggested remedial massage, then a daily exercise routine. That is what I did.

The massages gave instant relief, but needed to be done very frequently at first, as I was a mess.

Later on I found that a magnesium supplement fixed my muscle problems, and now I don't need massages at all.

You may be surprised at how much pain tight muscles can cause. Well worth looking into.

From my experience over many years, general practice doctors are able to offer very little in this area.
