So sorry. I also suffer with severe migraine headaches. I know what that is like. I am glad I have not had one last a month but have had them last 2-3 days. I get vision loss and throw up violently. They are so painful. I am so sorry that you suffer from these as well as all of your other problems. Like I told you before- you and I have a lot of the same conditions. I am here if you ever need to talk. Hope you are doing well today. Hope you are sleeping well. If I may ask, what kind of medications do you take? I was put on MS Contin for chronic pain and it has really helped to cut down the number of migraine headaches I have. They are also less severe. I can at least get myself to the hospital where as before I was way too sick to even get help. Hang in there my friend.

Default Migraines

Hi, I haven't been to this site in a couple of years...I suffer with chronic migraines also. I have tried about every migraine med out there. My doctor wants me to try facet injections in my neck C1, C2, C3, and C4, I don't really want to waste money on them, because I had them once for my back pain and it only got worse. Have any of you had nerve blocks for neck pain and it help relieve your migraines? I had brain surgery in 2002 and ever since my migraines have just gotten worse. I had epilepsy brain surgery, it was a success, now I get to deal with migraines on an almost daily basis. Traded one thing for another! UGH!

I am only taking a muscle relaxer, and about once or twice a week I will take toradol, but that's all I have for pain right now, and it's not working. I don't want to take strong pain meds, but right now it maybe what I need.

Cindy ~

I'm sorry to hear about that... Have you tried alternative things like getting a massage or something? Ask your doctor about things like a Tens Unit, for my mom it works great and she has basically gone off the meds... I hope you feel better soon!

Hey, sympathy coming your way. I have ended up in a&e and even admitted to hospital for my migraine symptoms. Today is Behcet's syndrome awareness day and I really want to spread the word about this disorder and other forms of vasculitis. If you have migraine plus other unexplained symptoms please consider vasculitis as the potential culprit. When I look on these forums I see a lot about Lyme's disease and other things but rarely a mention of Behcet's. so little is known of it or understood and it doesn't show up on regular blood tests. I feel more people may have it or other types of vasculitis but remain undiagnosed for years or even a lifetime!

Rather than make ask questions or offer suggestions about things you may have already been through, it might help to give us a brief summary of any diagnoses and treatments you've tried for migraine.

I finally got a correct DX and direction for effective treatment after seeing the right migraine specialist (practice limited solely to headache/migraine).

Best wishes,

Doc
