I don't know if that's similar to your dilemma or not. It was so bad I stuck to soups for that period (mostly Progresso—they seem to have more "substance" though still no substitute for a balanced diet). The salt was a killer, but may have helped keep the bacteria down & healing faster(?)

That's probably not helping you any, and it's partly my frustration in being at a loss. I'm not even sure of a direction to suggest, and that bothers me. Maybe some folks in other forums (than headache) have some ideas/insights. Dentistry & Dental Issues seems obvious, but in doing a quick search of the archives for temporomandibular joint tmj quite a few other forums come up.

Maybe there are some ideas here? tmj biting cheek

Maybe a call or two to your doctors to convey that you need some help/guidance in getting through this(?)

Doc

went to the dentist yeturday and I do have TMJ but I have to go get a cleaning before he can do any treatment on me and also said my jaw is pushing on the back of my shull and neck and he says the pain and said that my jaw problem is causeing the back problems I am having .
that if the treatment for my jaw works it will take away the pain in my back

I have a small disc bulge of L5 in my back when I told the dentist about it he said that my jaw problems caused the disc bulge because my jaw is so out of linement he said its putting pressure on my neck and shoulder plus the weight of my head is putting pressure on my spine.
he is almost sure that's what caused the problems on my back he says my head weights 8 pounds and he said times that by 10 and that's how much weight I have on my neck shoulders and my spine.

and my poester how ever you spell it I walk with and sit with my head in the forward pisssted how ever you spell it .

he also said my lower jaw is coming up and grinding against my upper jaw he could hear the poping and clicking in my jaw and also said my neck is poping and clicking to

he says he will help me once I get the cleaning done but if the treatments don't work then I may have to have surgery which I am trying to think positive with the treatment he wants to do.
