Well, it shouldn't make things worse.

There are some good reasons I think you should have a follow-up examination by a physician, and reports filed. Whether that's your own doctor (who I'm a little surprised didn't see you asap)—or the ER again—is up to you. It should, at the very least, allay some of your apprehension/concerns.
