Hi Shady XV,
I would feel like crying too if I had a migraine for 27 days. I hope you find some relief SOON. It's my understanding that a migraine lasting longer than 72 hours bumps you up to a different diagnosis with different treatment options. I know that IV DHE can break a stubborn headache and I'm sure there are other options out there that I don't know about. A doctor should be able to discuss these with you.

Is your headache bad enough to prevent you from working and completing daily tasks? If so, make sure your doctor knows this. If they won't listen, find another doctor who will. I learned the hard way that my primary care doctor is much more concerned with giving me good care than my neurologist ever was. The point is, keep speaking up for yourself till you find someone who understands what you're going through.

You might want to consider going to the ER at a university hospital and asking to see a headache specialist or neurologist.

I wish you the best of luck in quickly finding a treatment that works for you.
Cheryl
