Question Searching For Help On This..........

Those of us who suffer from chronic headaches, migraines, and any other sort of chronic pain live day to day wondering when something may come upon us right? Sometimes we may know what triggers them, when we feel them starting to come on, or how the rate on a pain score of 1-10.

What I am looking for is a good Migraine / Headache Log Book that has every type of possible selection that we can use to our benefit. Sections that can be used to rate pain level, etc. All of this info would be very handy for both ourselves, and our physicians to perhaps determine any traits on our pain and what and when they can be anticipated.

Is anyone here using one of these already, or do you just make one of your own and write notes? I did find this while conducting a search which looks like something I could use- but like any typical Marine things have to include EVERYTHING and have as much detail as possible to be effective!

Any help with what you may already have or found are appreciated!

Cool Smirk

Hi Gunny Fitz,
Headaches suck and blow at the same time. At least putting my Topiramate doses up have cut the daily attacks.
We had a chat about Numeric Pain Scales, the differences, and the chances your Dr is referencing a different one to you here:

http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/thread216281.html

There are some good Scales I would take, modify and expand on to fit purpose. That way you get exactly what you want, and your Drs see a document they are familiar with.
Good luck with it.

Dave.

Gunny, I'm not sure, but there may be something useful you could use in this older thread from TBI/PCS forum

Migraine Journal Documentation

Edited later to add... darn the Migraine Journal one from the UK - the main one I wanted to show you has a broken link.
I'll try to find it and post later if I can.

OK, I found it and also fixed the broken link

Migraine and Headache Diary.

One is per annum and one is per month. Adobe Acrobat needed to read the charts.

Hi Lara,
This headache/migraine Diary is a great resource!
Thanks for posting this!

Maybe it should be in a ""sticky thread" so people can always find it?
just a thought.

Thanks again!
