My neurologist prescribed me Aimovig a while back and I used it about 5 times in total over the course of 5 months. I started off with the 140 and my last injection was 70.
As I noticed a definite improvement in my headaches, he said that the drug is no longer needed and I can discontinue taking it. Another article I read said that continuing taking Aimovig is advised. Simply confused as to why I would stop the medication all of a sudden... Am I cured? Will the headaches return? Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk |

I agree that it makes no sense to discontinue unless your neurologist has a specific reason.
The only reason I have found is if you’re over 60 with heart conditions. If the headaches resume I’d call him immediately. BTW I’m not a doctor, but have done a lot of research on the subject. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
