Confused Anxiety about mild head injury

A few months ago someone fell on top of me and their elbow smashed into my head. Felt fine initially, but later that day I had headaches and pain at the site of injury , and this continued very infrequently for a month. I am really worried I have permanently decreased my intelligence. Please help?

Welcome to the NeuroTalk Support Groups.

I doubt very much that an elbow to the head would affect how intelligent you are, but it could give you a headache.

I'm sorry to read about your headaches. Hopefully they settle down soon. I wonder if in a reflex action you wrenched your neck away sharply when you were hit with the elbow? Where in your head are you getting the headaches?

You don't have seizures do you?

Again, if you have serious concerns about your injury, please consult with your medical practitioner.
