My neuro just gave a prescription for Fioricet.

He told me to use it for breakthrough pain only. If these migraine headaches persist, he will have to give me something preventative like Topomax.

FYI, inositol is found to be at higher levels in the brain during mania in bipolar disorder. Energy drinks that contain inositol and taurine (also elevated during mania) have been reported in medical journal case reports to trigger manic episodes. So if anyone's bipolar, be careful with it, please.

I have the same rx for breakthrough headaches or tension headaches. Fortunately, I haven't had to take it as Topamax has worked to stop migraines for me.
