Default Constant headache for 4.5 years

Hope they can work out what's wrong with you. So sad for me to think you've suffered so long. I understand the being in bed, unable to do anything, with no one understanding.

May God bless you. There is a reason for everything.

I have seen every type of specialist, been on about 25 meds, had every diagnostic exam (MRIs, MRAs, MRVs, CAT scans, lumbar punctures etc) and had them repeated, had several types of injections, biofeedback, pain management programs, lots of continuous IVs: DHE, magnesium, depacon, zanaflex, dexamethasone and a few others.

Until a few weeks ago, it had been 2 years since I had an MRI. Until then every type of diagnostic exam I had come back normal. This one showed the I have a cerebrospinal fluid leak and the CSF is accumulating in my lower back. I had back surgery to remove tumors, surgery on my nose and 3 lumbar punctures (spinal taps). I believe any of these can cause a CSF leak. Anyway the CSF leak may be causing my headache; I will see my neurosurgeon soon and learn more. The fact that I have a CSF leak is the best news I've gotten in years.

Here's to hope that the leak is causing my headache so I can get my life back.

Default your case sounds like me!

ES,

I'm 22 and it sounds like, from the description of your symptoms, that your case is VERY similar to mine. My headache is 24/7 and I've had it for just over 3 years. It is a static, constant, dull acheing soreness that feels like PRESSURE in my eyes and temples. I have had to withdraw from med school and almost all other activities because of my pain.

I have literally seen over 100 doctors all over the United States including Ophthalmologists, Neuro-Ophthalmologists, Neurologists, Neurosurgeons, NeuroRadiologists, and Cardiologists.

Considering how similar our symptoms are, I would like to know if you've found any kind of treatment that alleviates your pain.

God bless my friend,
