Hi
Had concussion about 6 weeks ago and have had dizziness and headaches since, however this week the headaches have started to present themselves differently. They are sudden, stabbing and one sided and leave the most incredible tenderness to the scalp that if I try to brush my hair or run my ringers gently through its almost unbearable. Does anyone have similar experiences. I have looked on the net and Ice pick headaches or cluster migraine seem to be the most likely diagnosis. I just wonder if post concussion syndrome sufferers may have also developed this? Would appreciate your help. Heather ![]() |

(((hugs)))) Heather!
Many with TBI suffer migraine headaches - myself included. I had Toradol injected once, as I couldn't take any more Maxalt. For me, Maxalt works much better at relieving the pain. But you can only take 3 caplets in a 24-hour period. Maxalt has to be taken as soon as you feel the headache coming on though, otherwise it's gonna be awhile before the pain subsides. Best wishes! |
