Default I bought a Dyson!

I have been looking for a new vacuum for about 2 yrs and hit the stores again today. I took all the models I was considering for a test drive at the last store and decided on the Dyson DC07 Animal.

It was between $120 and $180 more than the competion. Why I chose it was...

No filters to buy
Easier to push
Lighter than most
Longer hose
Dust cup is easier to empty

It came with all the little accesories plus the turbine head, low floor tool and carpet cleaning stuff (a bottle of spray, powder and the brush to scrub it in with).

My 15 yr old sharp died, so I couldn't do a comparison sweep. But I can tell this thing picked up more than the other one could have. I last swept a week ago, and the dyson picked up enough to fill the old vacuum's bag! I could normally sweep the whole house 5 times without picking up that much.

Still, it's a brute to lug up the stairs. And using the wand is awkward, but when you have to that little turbine thing is aggresive and worth the hassel. The low floor attachment gets under furniture really nice.

Dh is gonna blow a gasket when he sees how much this thing cost. Oh well.

Wait till he sees how good the floors look!

I was so not gonna get suckered into the dyson hype but I am sold.
