Wink update on deer repellant:

Well, we are still on vacation, and I am working on my plantings as usual.

I posted a while back about deer repellants, and finally chose
Deer Fortress.

So far so good....by this time last season we were chomped down to practically nothing...but so far this repellent is working.
I hesitated to say anything, thinking it would jinx us...so I have a couple of photos.

The little gray dome sticking up on the left is the repellent.
Even the cats were a bit weird with it. (it says it will attract
carnivores)...but now they will come down to the dock with us as usual. The only thing we worry about now is that the deer will get used to it, and ignore it too.

I still put up our sonic device at night however, just in case.
We have 3 deer now, nightly that we are feeding, as well as bunnies.

This repellent is supposed to last 4 mos, and works up to
10ft radius, so we have only needed two so far (comes in a box of 6). Each day I thank the "Goddess" for keeping the deer off my flowers! It is alot of work bringing them here and watering them. (we dip buckets in the lake...no running water or hoses etc).

I'll be back in late Aug with a further update.... it would sure be an improvement for my summer hobby to keep the deer off this area!
