There is a product put out by Roundup in a white plastic gallon container with a pump attached called Poison Ivy and Brush Killer. I have used this quite a bit since I am highly allergic to the stuff.

It takes about 3 days to kill the leaves, but be careful of the stems and roots, this carries the nasty oil that makes you itch. I have also taken the liberty to spray the stuff on neighbor's yards if I see it. If it ever gets burned the stuff can get into your lungs requiring hospitalization to control the spread in your body, so I take no chances at all.

Peace,
David

Yes, that special Round Up says on the label not to use it if you want to plant in that area soon. (2 wks).

That is why I choose the regular Round Up...

The ivy is dying back now. We painted some on other ivy locations where it was intergrowing with valuable other plants.
My husband used a paintbrush and only painted those leaves, on Sunday. Some have started dying back already.

I just saw a news article that said any food grown in RoundUp soil has harmful effects on humans! That stuff makes me nervous, as I don't usually resort to poisons/herbicides. But the poison Ivy here is so awful this year...something had to be done, with it.
