Default Houstonians with Hydrocephalus/pseudotumor

Hi - My name is L Hicks. I am looking for anyone from Houston Texas or surrounding areas having problems with their ventricular shunts. I have had 3 different shunts and a total of 6 surgeries since June 2005.

I thought this problem was rare and I was feeling really lonely. I am looking for someone who may have more experience with these shunts in order to help solve my problems.

Default Hi I Am Not From Texas But Here Is Something You Might Want To Know

Hi I am from Indiana. I thought i would let you know that there is a Neurosugern his name is Dr. Thomas Luerssen he use to pratice out of Indianapolis Indiana. Now he is in Huston Texas somewhere I do not know the address of where he is, but this doctor was a child hood neuro of mine and screwed up majorly on two of my shunt sugeries one resulting in him kinking the shunt and another resulting in an one month infection in which I had to be hospialized with an external drain.

He would ignore the signs and symptoms of shunt malfunctions and try to dianose me over the telephone. When i got sick in Calafornia he did not even look at the CT Scans to see if there was a problem. He just said that everything would be fine and to go on about my life like nothing had happened.
